DESCRIPTION
Average production per vine: 1.050 kg.
Selection of vines more than 30 years old from the Fontvallestana and El Mas de Gandesa estates and the Massalocans de Batea ride.
Varieties: 45% Cabernet, 30% Garnatxa, 15% Syrah, 10% Merlot.
Soil: Calcareous and silty soils with low permeability. Poor in organic material.
Vinification: Manual harvesting in 20 kg boxes, maceration and fermentation in stainless steel tanks for 26 days at controlled temperature of 28ºC.
AGEING
Ageing for 14 months in French oak barrels and 24 months in the bottle.
PRODUCTION
5,000 bottles.
TASTING NOTE
Red wine rich in coating with a violet-tinged dark red colour.
The bouquet is complex in aromas of red fruit (raspberry, blueberry, etc.), plum, raisin, and notes of cocoa and roasted coffee.
Sweet and dense on the palate, entering gently and developing strongly. The sweet tannin taste is intensified by the alcohol.
The retronasal aroma is reminiscent of cherry jam. Long aftertaste. Unfiltered wine.
Given its high concentration, this wine may generate precipitates.
Decant before serving.
